In the previous blog I already wrote about how excited I was when I figured out that there was a Limited Edition Play! by Sephora box coming out while I was staying in the United States (meaning that I would be able to get my hands on it).
The first Limited Edition Play! box consisted really great products and everyone was over the moon about it. The second one was still a good deal but not as spectacular as the first one. I couldn’t wait to learn when the third edition would come out.
And there it was! The Play! by Sephora The Beauty Remedy Edition. In my opinion this was the best so far because there were two editions (so you could either choose your favorite or just go for both) and it came in a super cute and useful case with zipper.
A monthly Play! by Sephora box will cost you $10. The Beauty Remedy Edition is $20 dollars and the extra 10 bucks is so worth it! I will break down why shortly, so stay tuned!
Just like the monthly box you get six trial sized products but where the monthly one counts the sixth product as ‘bonus’ (because it’s a perfume sample or a sample sachet), in this box product six is also a ‘normal’ trial sized product.
The biggest difference between the monthly box and this Limited Edition is the The Beauty Remedy Edition is all about luxury brands (hence the extra 10 bucks) where the monthly one has ‘normal’ brands.
Anyway, here are the beautiful products!
- La Mer Moisturizing Soft Creme
- SK-II RNA Eye Cream
- Tatcha Silk Cream
- Atelier Cologne in Santal Carmin Giorgio
- Armani lipstick in Ecstacy Shine 400
- Givenchy Le Rouge Perfect Pink lip balm
I knowwww right, what an awesome bunch of brands!
The Givenchy lip balm is missing on the first picture because I gave it to a friend in the USA who was over the moon about how beautiful it was and since the Dior Lip Glow I’ve got (review in Dutch) basically is the same with the lip balm and shine, I figured she would be more happy with it than me :).
Before this box, I never tried anything from La Mer before (also not the eye cream from this previous post, I got this box earlier). I just heard about the brand as a prestige brand and whenever I saw the prizes, I knew it would not be a brand I would be trying out anytime soon. So of course having a trial product in the box made me ever more excited. A full size of this cream would cost you $170 for 30 ml. This container has 7 ml product what means it would cost almost $42! So with only this product, you would already have worth for your money. Sephora claimed that the value of all the products together is $140. Damn! 🙂
Instead of the poster/booklet the monthly boxes have, this Play! box contains a package with product cards, like it’s an medical subscription.
Besides the fact that I love to try out the brands that are featured in this LE Play! box and that the bag/box is really nice to keep and use, I think the Play! by Sephora the Beauty Remedy Edition is totally worth it! Unfortunately this edition was sold out really fast but I am sure Sephora will launch another one in one or two months :). Besides, you can now get your hands on previous editions of the monthly Play! by Sephora boxes!
[…] in the USA I also got to try one of the Play! Luxe boxes: The Beauty Remedy. I loved how luxurious the brands and products were. I got to try out Tatcha for the first time and […]
