Update 17-6: makeup artist Daniel Martin told the press that he could not share the details of Meghan Markle’s Wedding Makeup due to confidentiality. Also, Members of the Royal Family can not express preference about brands or products because that is not what they do. However, Dior did not revoke their press release about Meghan’s make-up after Daniel Martin’s statement. Daniel Martin had the honor of doing the makeup of The Duchess of Sussex because they’ve been friends for a long time. We also know that Daniel Martin is an artist for Dior so it is very likely indeed that he did use Dior products.
So, to make a long story short: all the products mentioned in this blogpost may or may not have been used for Meghan Markle’s Wedding Makeup but anyway, it is a great way to recreate her look and pretend like we are all royal :).
I’m going nuts: Dior Makeup and makeup artist Daniel Martin (who had the actual honor of doing Meghan’s makeup) released a press scoop with all the details on Meghan Markle’s beautiful, minimalistic Bridal Makeup. I was already hoping to see a break down on the look coming soon, but I was still surprised to see it so early already!
Here’s the break down on what products Meghan Markle might have worn:
The Duchess of Sussex might have worn:
- Dior Backstage Contour Palette (yet to be released, expected June 15th);
- Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation (also coming soon);
- Dior Backstage Eye Palette in Warm Neutrals 001 (coming soon);
- Diorshow On Stage Liner in Matte Black;
- Dior Diorshow Iconic Mascara;
- Dior Lip Glow.
The products that have yet to be released are from the upcoming Dior Backstage collection. You can find a sneak peek of the collection on Trendmood.com!
I personally really loved the elegant and minimalistic look of Meghan Markle’s makeup and wedding dress. I am both a British Royal Family geek and have a secret girl crush on Meghan Markle, so you bet I was watching the wedding live.
The minimalistic Bridal makeup is something that suits Meghan’s personal style very well: you can often see her with a subtle smokey eye, nude lip and fresh, glowing skin.
It’s so cool that the Duchess of Sussex wore products that are already well loved by many: the Dior Diorshow Iconic Mascara is a popular high end mascara and the Dior Lip Glow is a staple for many, including myself!
I’ll definitely be ordering the Dior Diorshow Iconic Mascara soon to try it out and I can’t wait for the Dior Backstage Eye Palette in Warm Neutrals 001 to be released. That way, we can all feel a little bit Royal :).
Have a nice day everyone!
