I just found 2018’s most stunning highlight! The packaging is amazing, the print in the highlighter is awesome and the shade itself is also real pretty.
I’m talking about the Smashbox + Vlada (@vladamua) Petal Metal highlighter in Gilded Rose. Only the outside box is already so gorgeous because of the rose gold metallic shade.
Can we talk about this amazing packaging!!!? I can’t get over how beautiful it is. It’s shiny, luxurious and strong. It is the most beautiful packaging I’ve ever seen, no doubt!
Just because of the gorgeous packaging I had to have this highlighter for my collection and luckily the inside is worth it as well!
Look at thissss! The compact has a nice sized bright mirror so you don’t need to grab yourself another one.
The shade Gilded Rose is described as ‘gold with pink/gold pearl’ and that’s totally it. The shade itself is a subtle gold and depending on how the light falls on the product, you see a bit of a gold or pink glow.
Since the packaging is so extraordinary I did expect the highlighter to be really blinding and extreme, but in fact it gives a lovely, almost natural, glow.
For parties I like a more blinding glow but since I wear highlighter to work as well, I appreciate a more subtle glow as well.
The shade fits my fair skin tone really well, giving my cheekbones a natural, warm glow that almost looks like a glow from within. It’s like a beautiful radiance that comes from my face.
In case you didn’t pick up on it yet (hard to imagine, haha): I LOVE this highlighter! It’s such a gorgeous product with a beautiful glow. I’ve used it everyday now since I got it (thanks mom and dad for the present from the USA 🙂 ).
On my eyes in the pictures I am wearing the PS Bronze Shade & Shimmer eyeshadow palette (Primark Beauty) and the Essence Metal Shock eyeshadow in 01 Solar Explosion. Blush is Physicians Formula Butter Blush in Plum Rose and on my lips I’m wearing Mac Mehr (matte lipstick).
