You guys know I love my Sephora Favorites sets because they always have a great value, they allow me to test a new product (mostly really popular products) without splurging on something that might not work for you ánd they contain the cutest little products ever.
Recently I really wanted to get my hands on the Sephora Favorites Sun Safety Kit pictures below but before I could even ask someone to grab it for me in the USA, it was long gong.

Such a bummer because oh my gosh, this set got me excited. I mean, look at all those amazing brands and products! I was interested in the set because recently I educated myself about the importance of sun care and I’m on the hunt for the best SPF’s that I can use daily, since I’m a fair skinned gal that get’s a sunburn after just a few minutes in the sun.
So, that set would’ve been perfect but it sold out and I decided to just forget about it and continu the hunt for products that get good reviews so I make a well informed purchase.
Then this cute little set launched at Sephora: the Summer Sun on the Fly set. Only one product has SPF but these are some lovely products that help with an overall nourished skin and contains two products that can help with repairing the skin after the sun did it’s damage.
I really wanted to test out Supergoop! products and I had the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask on my wishlist so I decided to pick it up.
This Sephora Favorite set contains:
- Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask;
This Asian Beauty sleeping mask is really popular atm and lot’s of people have been raving about it. I was very curious about the hype! - Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream;
Drunk Elephant is such a popular brand but is pretty expensive. These kinds of sets are perfect to try Drunk Elephant. I’ve never heard of this cream before but it promised all kinds of benefits, so we’ll see how much I’ll love it! - Kiehl’s Creme de Corps;
Kiehl’s is loved by many and belongs to the absolute favorites of many Youtubers. This is going to be the first Kiehl’s product I’ll try. - Supergoop! Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50;
A broad spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen in a setting mist to easily refresh your SPF? Yes please! Also, Supergoop! is the favorite sun protection brand of one of my favorite beautybloggers (The Beauty Look Book) so I’ve been wanting to try it out.
At this moment I only tried out the Kiehl’s Creme de Corps and the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask Out.
The Kiehl’s Creme de Corps is nice but very very thick in consistency. It’s something I would only use before I go to bed and in the winter when my skin is more dry, because my skin is actually having a hard time soaking it up at this time of the year.
However, I can really feel that it’s a good and rich body cream. It will probably work wonders for people out there with dry skin. It feels really moisturizing and not sticky at all. There’s not really a scent to it and that makes me like the cream more, because this way it’s nice to use for lot’s of people. The focus is on moisturizing your skin and not on smelling nice (not that it doesn’t smell nice, but just neutral).
The only thing I don’t like about about this product is that bottle. It’s made of strong plastic and you have to squeeze the product out, but this annoying AF bottle makes it almost to squeeze something out. You can take the lid of but the bottle is not big enough to squeeze your finger in if you can’t get any product out anymore. You could take a little spatula or anything though, but I prefer a squeezable tube waaaaay more.
So the Glow Recipe Water Melon Glow Sleeping Mask is something very special. Online it says that you can use it as a Sleeping Mask just like the name suggests but that you can also use it as a mask when you apply a couple of thick layers. That’s what I wanted to try first to see if my skin is okay with it.
The products feels like a jelly cream and does not really soak into your skin. It lays on top of it but it does not feel heavy or anything. It smells delicious (Water Melon for the win) but it just feels so wear on the skin to me. Because it’s so slippery, it was really hard to rinse it of my face and I hated that. I need my skin to feel fresh and clean after using a mask and this product felt like it was not completely coming of. It did leave my skin very soft but it also felt weirdly smooth and I think that was the result of the product. Probably exactly what it was meant to do but to me it felt like the residu of the product gave me the smooth skin and it was not the result of the mask itself.
I either want my skin to be cleansed (with a mud mask or something) or I want it to be hydrated and feel fresh. This mask did not do any of those two so I will not be repurchasing this product.
The product promised radiance and soft skin (it has watermelon, AHA and hyaluronic acid in it) and I’m sure it will give me that after using it as a sleeping mask for a couple of weeks, but I will not be testing that out :).
I will keep you posted on the Supergoop! and Drunk Elephant products!
Did you try any of these four products or is there anything you’d like to try? What do you think of them?
