If you’ve ever tried the Revolution Re-Loaded palettes, you know they are amazing for the low price! So when they came out with four new palettes, I knew I had to get my hands on at least one of them. I went for the ABH Soft Glam dupe and picked up some other goodies as well. Here’s a look at my haul!
These are all the goodies I picked up. Some of them have been on my wishlist for a minute so I can’t wait to play with it all!
This 144 Ultimate Eyeshadow Collection 2018 actually came as a gift with purchase, how amazing is that!?
It’s an amazing gift buttt I do feel like it’s not something I would’ve picked myself. The colorsheme does not speak to me, since most of the shades look muted down to be and it feels like the shades were just thrown in randomly. Also, most of the beige/brown shades on the left look so much alike.
These are some of the swatches. The eyeshadows are not awful (the shimmer shades actually feel alright) but they are also not great at all. Revolution shadows are usually wayyyyy better so I think I’m going to give this palette away. I won’t be using it.
Next up are two of the Skin Kiss highlighter (Champagne Kiss and Ice Kiss) because I heard so many good things about them. I love how big these highlighters are, so you really get worth for your money. Also, the overal look with packaging and all looks so luxurious.
I’ve got some mixed feelings about these highlighters. First and foremost, their shine is amazing and so blinding! So if that’s up your alley then got for these! However, both the highlighters but especially Champagne Kiss (the left swatches) do have quite some glitter in it and for me that’s to extreme for a daily look. You can’t really go light handed with this because of the glitter.
So the highlighters are soft and creamy but it does feel like it’s not pressed hard enough, making the product come out of the pan in a weird, chunky way. So you do have to go light handed with your brush when you dip in.
In conclusion: these highlighters are beautiful and worth your money, but it’s only for those of you who like some extreme highlighters and don’t mind glitters everywhere.
I also picked up one of the Sophx lipsticks. This one is in Cake and I love it so much! It really creamy and soooo pigmented! It has a shiny finish as well but nothing extreme, so just how I like it.
I also really wanted the Sophx Extra Spice palette but since I already ordered two and got one for free, I decided to leave that one until next time.
Now it’s time for the stars of the show. This is the Revolution Re-Loaded palette in Velvet Rose. It’s an obvious Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam dupe and I’m not mad about it. That even why I choose it out of the new four because I’ve been eyeing Soft Glam but it’s a bit too expensive for me to randomly buy it.
This palette however is only €4,99 and also has a great formula. You can see on the swatches that the mattes are really pigmented but are pretty chalky. Luckily they blend like a dream so it’s no problem when making the actual eye look. The shimmery shades are so creamy and beautiful. On the swatch they look foiled and they are at first after applying on the eyes, but the extreme foiled look does fade rather quickly. The shimmery shades will stay nice and shimmery but they loose some of the extreme foil.
This is my favorite part of this haul, my favorite Revolution palette and I think my favorite palette of all times as well!!! It’s so beautiful and good you guys!
This is the Revolution Pro Regeneration Palette in Revelation and it retails for only €8,99.
It’s an obvious Huda Beauty Rose Gold dupe (they didn’t even try to hide it) but oh my gosh it’s so gorgeous. You might know that I have two favorite looks: gold/brown and pink/gold. This palette has it all and then some.
This is the first row of swatches and oh my gosh! These mattes are all so pigmented and creamy. Even the black is not patchy!
These are the other two rows. Do you see that! The bright pink is so pigmented and all the shimmer shades and foiled shades are so pigmented and creamy and wow!
The matte shades apply and blend like a dream. I’ve been loving Rebound in the crease, Unruly in the outer corner and one of the foiled/glittery/shimmery shades on the lid for a quick but beautiful look.
You can use the shimmery/foiled shades with a brush but I do have to say that it doesn’t always stick to my eye lid. They work best with either a glitter primer or when sprayed on with some Mac Fix+.
Anyway, I found my new favorite palette and I’d love to try some of the other Regeneration Palettes in the future as well!
Super nice blog and Nice colours…and revolution is not expensive😎
