I’ve always considered the Mac Cosmetics Matte Lipstick formula to be my favorite matte formula out there. I like how matte liquid lipsticks stay put but I hate the feeling and finish of it honestly. The Pat McGrath lipsticks had a fair change of beating the number 1 title but for me that formula was moving around to much.

Today I am reviewing the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipsticks in Very Victoria and Amazing Grace and spoiled alert: this is my new favorite formula!

I first picked up Amazing Grace and I fell in love with that one so much that I went for the (alleged) favorite shade of the Dutchess of Sussex Meghan Markle. Now I love both so much. Very Victoria (taupe nude) is my every day lipstick color of choice now and Amazing Grace (pink coral) is my favorite sunny day bright colors kind of lipstick.

The lipsticks are so gorgeous on my vanity and whenever I grab them out of my bag to apply lipstick, I feel so boujee haha. The packaging looks and feels luxurious and as you know that gives a product bonus point when in my collection.

On the left is  Very Victoria and on the right is Amazing Grace. They are pigmented very very well and so creamy! They are not as creamy as the Pat McGrath lipsticks though but that’s a good thing because those lipsticks felt like they were moving around, but they are creamy enough to be very comfortable to wear.

On my fair skin tone, Very Victoria is a definitely there brown but because of the purple undertone, it’s still fresh (and not too dark). I’ve tried plenty of nudes that were very dark brown on my lips and I did not really liked that, so it was a gamble to purchase this lipstick without trying it out first.

Amazing Grace is the perfect summery pink coral to me. It screams summer to me!

The only downside to these lipsticks is that they are pretty expensive. One Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick retails for €32… so it’s not a lipstick that I’m going to stock up on but I do love these two shades that I own now and at some point in the future I’d love to get my hands on Pillow Talk and the LE English Beauty.
