For a long time I tried not to get into Charlotte Tilbury make-up because it’s so beautiful, and it’s also quite expensive. After buying two of the lipsticks and a lot of nice launches, I totally got into it though so now I’ve got a big Charlotte Tilbury haul for you including some mini reviews.
These are all the lovely goodies I got my hands on in the last couple of months. Release after release was happening and most of the releases really spoke to me, so I splurged a bit!
These are the products I already wrote about on Weeks of Beauty. Two amazing lipsticks (both Matte Revolution: Amazing Grace and Very Victoria), Legendary Brows (browgel) and one of the recent launches: Bar of Gold highlighting palette.
These are all the Charlotte Tilbury lipproducts I own right now. A while back it was International Lipstickday and on the same day, both the special American edition and English edition lipstick were on sale, so I bought both and got a mini lipstick for free.
I also purchased a set with award winning products by Charlotte Tilbury and that set consisted of the famous Pillow Talk lip cheat and another cute little lipstick.
These are the swatches of the lipsticks I’ve got right now (still got a few on my wishlist but that’s for another time!). From left to right: Pillow Talk lip cheat, American Sweetheart, English Beauty, Very Victoria, Amazing Grace, Penelope Pink and Carina’s Love.

The Pillow Talk Lip Cheat is indeed amazing. It’s a gorgeous neutral color that will look amazing on everyone I think. To me it’s a my lips but better color, so it works perfectly as a lip liner for lot’s of lip colors.
I was afraid I wouldn’t love the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. formula because I usually don’t go for a glossy lipstick. I like matte lipsticks better on me and I also feel like it stays better put. However, I am loving the Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. formula so far. Very pigmented, glossy but not too extreme glossy, it feels amazing on the lips and it looks gorgeous. I might even like it more than the Matte Revolution formula!
I got my eyes on the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand for so long but I always thought liquid highlighters weren’t my thing. Well.. this one proved me otherwise. With all the recent CT buys I thought it was only fair to test the well loved liquid highlighter.
It comes in a squeezy tube that you can (halleluja) lock, so the product won’t be squeezed out without you wanting it. For a gorgeous glow you only need a tiny bit of product. It blends so effortlessly into the skin!
The first three swatches are from the Bar of Gold palette and the one on the right is from the Beauty Light Wand. It gives a gorgeous glow. The only downside to the highlighter is that the shade is actually a bit too dark for my skin tone. I can pull it off (especially now that I’ve got a bit of a tan going on) but I have to be very light handed with the product.
I wish they would make the Beauty Light Wand in more shades so there’s something for everyone!
Not too long ago Charlotte Tilbury launched two complexion products that were extremely hyped up. The Genius Magic Powder for under eye & face was one of them and comes in three shades. Everyone was raving about it: this is the best powder ever. I wasn’t planning on picking it up initially because I’ve got so many setting powders to tackle already but because of all the great reviews from everyone, I decided to give it a go anyway.
It is a gorgeous powder that gives a natural radiance indeed. It does not make the face look cakey. There’s just one big big big but to this powder. It. Smells. Disgusting! I am so grossed out by the smell that I actually got in touch with CT to check if the product was supposed to smell like this and apparently this smell comes from the natural ingredients. I am all for natural ingredients but does it really have to force you to hold your breath while applying the powder?? Online I read someone describing it as melted crayons and that’s a spot on description of the smell.
I am torn about using the powder again or not because it would be such a waste of money if I never touch it again but then again, the smell does make applying it an awful experience…
Luckily, the newly launched Magic Away Liquid Concealer is amazing! It gives a natural radiant glow under the eyes with natural coverage. It’s not full coverage but for my liking it’s perfect, because it makes the circles under my eyes look healthy again.
I’m not sure about the applicator though because the product comes out of the side somewhere so I just apply some under my eyes and then I blend it with a beautyblender anyway. I wish they would just get rid of the weird applicator and make it into a wand just like most concealers on the market these days.
In conclusion: if you like a medium coverage radiant concealer, the Magic Away Liquid Concealer is recommendation. I’d say pass on the Genius Magic Powder until they’ve reformulated the powder without the gross smell and invest in a powder that has a normal smell :). Even Primark make-up smells better!
I also picked up the Beauty Icons set which contains five best-selling and award winning products. The Pillow Talk Lip Cheat comes in full size and the other products are deluxe sized.
The set contains:
– Pillow Talk Lip Cheat;
– K.I.S.S.I.N.G. lipstick in Penelope Pink;
– Wonder Glow face primer;
– Charlotte’s Magic Cream;
– Full Fat Lashes mascara.
All these products are so great! This set is a fun way to introduce yourself or a friend to the brand. The Wonder Glow face primer reminds me of the Becca First Light priming filter but than less shiny and way more natural and radiant. Love it!
Also, I’ve been loving Charlotte’s Magic Cream for days that my face needs a little bit more moisture and I’m sure I will adore it during the upcoming Autumn and Winter days as well!
My latest Charlotte Tilbury purchase is the Pillow Talk Luxury Palette for the eyes. CT came out with this eyeshadow palette and a blush (that is also on my wishlist) based on the best selling lipstick shade Pillow Talk and the amazing Lip Cheat in the same shade.
The four eyeshadow shades are amazing! The two mattes and the one shimmer shades are so buttery, soft and pigmented in an easy to use way like I’ve never seen before. The fourth shade of the ‘pop’ is a gorgeous glitter but a bit harder to use. It gives a lot of glittery fall out when applied on a dry brush, so I either like to wet my brush or use a glitter primer and apply the product with my finger.
This is a full face of Charlotte Tilbury products. The only non CT products I used were the blush and the brow powder. I also used the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation (from a sample sachet) to complete te look. It’s a gorgeous foundation that also gives a radiant glow! Together with the subtle glow coming from the Wonder Glow primer I think the radiance and glow on my face looks amazing and so healthy.
I am definitely digging this Charlotte Tilbury style of a healthy, radiant glowing face. Fingers crossed that they will reformulate the face powder so the smell gets less extreme!
