Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter 250 Nikkie Tutorials

A little while back I wrote about the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighters. I tried the Molten Rose Gold, Molten Gold and Molten Peach shades. I love the quality of the highlighters but unfortunately all three shades are too deep for my skin tone when I don’t go crazy light handed. Usually I can pull of Molten Rose Gold just fine but when my tan fades, I know I’d rather go for another, fairer highlighter.

Luckily, Nikkie Tutorials is also a fair skin gal and she knew the ‘problem’ as well. Following her request, Maybelline just came out with a Master Chrome highlighter in a shade for fair skin tones!!

I bought two of the highlighters because I was afraid it would break during shipment. Lucky me though, both are still alive so I’ll be selling one :).

The highlighter has the same print in it as usual. The shade is a pearl meets champagne kind of shade with a beautiful sheen.

Next to the other Master Chrome highlighters I own you can clearly see that this shade is much lighter.

The swatches are left to right: Molten Rose Gold, Molten Gold, Molten Peach, Nikkie Tutorials shade.

Molten Peach is much more glittery than the others. I expected the Nikkie Tutorials to be the same because they are both an American edition, while the other two are European editions and they supposedly differ in intensity and glitters. However, the Nikkie Tutorials shade is more in between.

The quality and formula of the shade is (besides the glittery part) exactly the same. Buttery and easy to pick up, a little chunky if you press to hard and get too much product. It blends perfectly into the skin and overall it’s just a gorgeous shade.

Here I am wearing the Nikkie Tutorials shade. It’s really intense and gives an amazing glow. On this picture I only applied one layer with a small dense brush.

The Master Chrome highlighters are great if you’d like a versatile highlighter, because you can go for subtle or build it up with a couple of layers, making it a blinding highlighter like you’ve never seen before. The NikkieTutorials shade is no different.
