Once in a while MAC Cosmetics comes out with an item limited for MAC Select Members (only means that you’ve ticked a box while making an account on the MAC USA website). Other MAC Select products I’ve tried before are the MAC So Select lipstick (Dutch review here)  and a Retro Matte liquid lipstick that I’ve sold and never reviewed because the shade wasn’t for me.

The most recent MAC Select product was the satin lipstick in Fancied. It is described as a neutral pinky-rose but to me it is also a little bit peachy.

A M∙A∙C Select lip colour inspired from the best runway trends of the season.

The lipstick has the same amazing formula as always: creamy, pigmented and with great coverage. The shade is more peachy nude on me than pinky-rose, but I still love the shade on me. It does look really different on me than on the swatch, but that’s okay. It still works :).

Since I’ve hoarding MAC lipsticks that last couple of years, I thought it was about time to check my collection out and to compare the shades. You will see that I really got a type when it comes to lipsticks.

The MAC lipstick formula in every finish has always been my favorite lipstick formula. Charlotte Tilbury might be replacing that number one position, but MAC has a certain nostalgia feel to it. In my early make-up hoarder days I was all about saving up for MAC make-up and my first expensive make-up buys were from MAC. Let’s just say MAC lipsticks have a speciale place in my heart :).
