Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Bling Boss palette

You might know how in love every was and is with the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette. After that success story, they decided to come out with a vault, featuring four more palettes with shades that didn’t make it into the big palette. Everyone was hyped up about it but then a lot happened: the formula wasn’t consistent, the launched got pushes back, the palettes launched and lot’s of people still weren’t happy with the quality.

But, besides the people that weren’t happy with the quality, there were also a lot of people who did love the palettes. Considering that and the good price point (only $15!) I decided to pick one out of four up to give it a go myself.

The palette I went for is the Bling Boss palette. All four palettes have the same outside design, just the colored dots in between the silver dots and the name on the side of the palette, give away what palette you have in front of you.

The Bling Boss palette is all about the purples, berries and pinks. These colors are totally up my street lately.  I’ve always been about the pinks and mauves but lately I’ve been adding purples and berries to my favs as well.

The shades swatch amazing. In general they are very creamy and well pigmented. Mystic and Sparks are a tiny bit chalky compared to the other shades, but it’s negligible. The only shade that I am not fond of is Berry Treasure. It’s a really deep berry color with glitter, but the berry color is not visible when swatches or applied on the eyes. Also, the glitters are hardly visible out of the pan. Plus, it’s also a bit chalky. So besides these points, all the shades are of great quality.

I love how the shades apply and blend. Because of the great pigmentation I do really have to work to blend it out well (hence the harsh line of purple in the left picture haha) but besides that, they are really easy to work with.

The shadows stay on like a dream as well. I made a look with this palette for the concert of Justin Timberlake (long night + lot’s of dancing) and my eyeshadow remained almost completely flawless during it all.

If you are looking to a good color themed eyeshadow for not too much money, I would recommend the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palettes! (I’m just assuming that the other three are just as great).

Did you try one of the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palettes? What do you think?
