While in the USA a year ago, I bought a couple of Cover FX mini sets for friends. I wasn’t on the liquid highlighter bandwagon yet so I didn’t pick it up for myself, but I did regret it a little later since the little bottles of glitter and glow are so cute and the highlighters so blinding!
Naturally, this year I did pick the set up for myself. This year the set contains two (instead of four) Custom Enhancer Drops mini’s and two (versus zero last year) mini Glitter Drops.
From left to right:
Glitter Drops in Mirage (golden champagne), Glitter Drops in Aurora (multi-tonal pink), Custom Enhancer Drops in Celestial (glistening pearl), and Custom Enhancer Drops in Rose Gold (warm, pearlescent pink bronze).
The set contains mini’s from 4,5 mL each. A full size contains 15 mL.
The mini in this set is not the smallest size of Cover FX Glitter Drops and Custom Enhancer Drops out there though. In the picture above you can see the cute, small bottles of Mirage and Moonlight (the small Custom Enhancer Drops). Both contain 2,8 mL and I got them as a Sephora/Beauty Bay freebie once.
Swatches left to right: Glitter Drops in Mirage and Aurora, Custom Enhancer Drops in Celestial, Moonlight, Rose Gold.
You only need the tiniest bit of product for lot’s of glow. The thing I love the most about these drops is how it glows/reflects the light when the light hits the product. Almost like a mirror!
Moonlight and Rose Gold are both too deep for my skin tone so I’ll be giving Rose Gold away and I’m keeping Moonlight to mix it with a lighter, less intense liquid highlighter.
In this picture I am wearing Aurora in the inner corner of my eyes and Celestial on the tip of my nose and on the cheek bones. The left picture was made in the shadow and the right picture was made when the light hit the Celestial just in the right way. How awesome is that, right!?
The sun was not even shining when I was taking these pictures and I can’t wait to see how blinding the highlighter is when the sun is actually shining on the glow!
The highlighter is easy to build up. Even the slightest layer can already be pretty blinding so I am always careful when applying the product. I put a drop on my hand, take a tiny bit with my finger, tap it on the cheek bones and then I blend it out with a Beautyblender. When the product is not blinding enough anymore, I apply a little more until I’m content with the intensity.
You can still get your hands on this cute little set at Sephora. The Cover FX Glam & Glow Liquid Lights Set retails for $42.
I always wanted to try these! I love the subtle glow they give on you👌

Thank you! I still have to get used to the feel of liquid highlighters as well but these are quite alright 🙂
