Welcome to Blogmas day 3! I am currently listening to the NPR How I Built This podcast with Emily Weiss (recommendation!), founder of Glossier so I thought it would be the perfect moment to show you my newest Glossier goodies! This time I was actually able to order via the Glossier website because my friend Jamie is studying in London for a while and Glossier does ship to the UK, happy me!
These are all the goodies I ordered on the Glossier website. This time I got it in the famous Glossier pink zip bag and the stickers and I’m so happy about just that part already, haha.
I already got and loved the Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk so I decided to pick up two other colors: Beam and Haze. If you are only going to pick up one product by Glossier then I think it should be the Cloud Paints!
Left to right: Dusk, Haze, Beam, all three mixed.
You can use the Cloud Paints as a blush, on the eyes and on the lips as well. The best thing about it is actually that you can mix the colors together to create a different shade that suits your wishes.
You only need such a tiny bit of the product so a little goes a long way. I’ve always said that I don’t really like liquid/wet products but after I tried the Cloud Paints, I changed my mind. They blend easy, they look gorgeous on the cheeks and they have this subtle radiance in them that looks amazing.
I also decided to pick up two skincare products because I heard some great things about them. The Milky Jelly Cleanser is one of the best sellers at Glossier and the Priming Moisturizer is something that mostly just sounded promising to me.
The Glossier Priming Moisturizer is exactly what it says: a moisturizer that also primes your face for make-up, so you don’t need an extra product. I absolutely hate the smell of this product so it’s not my favorite to use and the product itself is nice but at thing point nothing special for me. The moisturizer is very hydrating and refreshing. It’s a lightweight moisturizer which I like in the morning to prime my face. The moisturizer/primer just doesn’t do something extra to my face that any other product does do.
My favorite moisturizer at this moment is the Origins Ginzing gel moisturizer because it’s so refreshing, cooling, hydrating and it gives my skin a gorgeous glow. The Glossier Priming Moisturizer doesn’t do anything besides hydrating and priming, so that’s why I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. It’s definitely not a bad product but it’s not something special to me.
The Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser is something I still have to try out some more to share my thoughts on it!
The Glossier Lash Slick film form mascara is amazing! I’ve been using it everyday since I got it and I am positive that I will be repurchasing this one over and over. It’s almost THE perfect mascara for me. It doesn’t clump, doesn’t smudge or transfer, doesn’t dry hard and crispy, it separates the lashes and makes them longer.
I am saying almost perfect because the only little thing I am missing in this mascara is that it doesn’t give me more voluminous lashes but I am okay with that because the most important features I am looking for in a mascara is that it separates lashes without clumping and that it doesn’t transfer (because I always get black smudges under my eyebrows from mascara’s).
I am wearing the Glossier Lash Slick mascara in both pictures.
If you are looking for another recommendation besides the Cloud Paints, then it’s this mascara!
Lastly I ordered the Glossier Lip Gloss. People were raving about it and I was curious what all the fuss is about.
It looks like just a transparent and that’s exactly what it is. It does have Vitamin E in it though so it’s moisturizing but it’s nothing special.
However, this lipgloss does fit in the whole Glossier vibe very well because it’s definitely enhancing your lips. It makes my lips fuller and gives it a beautiful shine that makes my whole look more healthy.
Also important to mention is that this lipgloss is comfortable to wear. The layer of product doesn’t feel heavy or thick and it does feel moisturizing. When the product on the lips it is hardly sticky. Only when I remove the gloss from my lips it feels a little bit sticky but nothing annoying.
This is my little Glossier collection. I also had three mini Balm Dotcom lip balms but those weren’t really my thing so I passed them on.
This is the look I created with these goodies. I used the Huda Beauty New Nude eyeshadow palette to start my eyelook with and then I applied the Lidstar all over my eye lid. I also used the Wowder all over my face (I mixed it with a translucent powder under my eyes), the mix of the three Cloud Paints on my cheeks (do you see that gorgeous glow?!), Lash Slick on the lashes and the Lip Gloss on the lips.
I am so happy with most of these products! I still have some Glossier products on my wishlist so I think I will place another order at the end of this month :). On my wishlist are some more Cloud Paints, Boy Brow and the Generation G lipstick (out of stock because they were reformulating the product when I ordered).
My order came with the famous pink zippouch, stickersheet (SO COOL), little welcome card because it’s my first order and a sample card of the Glossier You perfume.
What is your favorite Glossier product? What product is on your wishlist?
