Welcome to Beauty Blogmas Day 5. It’s time to take a look at one of my recommendations again from the Holiday Beauty Gift Guide. Today that’s the Fenty Beauty Bomb Baby Mini Lip and Face Set, featuring a mini highlighter and mini lip gloss. Yay for mini’s!
The set contains a mini Killawatt Freestyle highlighter in Hu$tla Baby and a mini Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow.
The shade looks pretty gold but it’s actually a ‘light’ gold, making it also just about a good match for my fair skin tone. Generally I go for lighter shades but there was only one option for this set so I wanted to try it out anyway.
The highlighter is soft and medium creamy. It does tend to have some chunks/flakes flying around when you dig your brush to deep in the pan but when applied on the face, there’s not weird fall out. The product blends into the skin very easily.
Since the shade is almost too deep for me I have to blend it very well, but that is an easy job with this formula! 🙂
The Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow has a pretty thick consistency that still feels comfortable on the lips. This lipgloss is also good for hydrating the lips and I can really feel how moisturizing it is when wearing it.
The lip gloss smells so good, is not sticky at all and the color payoff + shine is great. You could use this lip gloss on top of a lipstick but this lip gloss already has enough color on it’s own. The lip gloss does transfer majorly but what lip gloss doesn’t, really?
Here are the swatches of the products. On the first picture you can also see a swatch of the Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb in How Many Carats?! (review here).
The Gloss Bomb is so gorgeous with the gold glitter in it! Also makes it match the highlighter very well :).
In this look I am wearing just the Gloss Bomb on my lips so you can see how pigmented it is for a gloss!
Also, the highlighter gives just the right amount of golden glow when the light hits the highlighter. You can build the highlighter up from kind of subtle to very blinding.
Overall, I really love the Gloss Bomb and I do recommend this one! The Killawat Freestyle highlighter is also a nice product but I don’t feel like it’s a special highlighter or the best one out there. I still tend to grab my Becca and Maybelline highlighters way more and the Fenty Beauty one is just nice to have. So it’s really up to your preferences for the shade I think whether or not this is a highlighter for you.
What do you think of the products? Have you tried them?
