Welcome to Blogmas Day 24! Today I’ve got a look at my recent Lime Crime haul, in which I picked up some gifts for friends and got some freebies with my order (yay for freebies).

One of my favorite parts of shopping at limecrime.com is first of all the fact that you can pay the taxes up front so you don’t have to worry about extra costs upon arrival of your package. And my second favorite thing about shopping at limecrime.com is their boxes! The inside is always so cute.

These are the goodies I picked up. I picked up three of the Mini Lip Kits that I fell in love with (read the review on the pink lip kit here) to give to my friends as mini Christmas presents. With that order I received the Venus XS eyeshadow palette in Solid Gold and the Velvetines matte liquid lipstick in Buffy for free.

The Venus XS eyeshadow palette is nice to get as a freebie. I love how the packaging looks from the outside but it is very big for no reason, making it appear a bit cheap. Besides that: the shadows are from quite good quality: buttery and well pigmented mattes, a light and creamy (but not very pigmented) white gold shade that goes perfectly in the inner corner and the brown bone and a very pretty but kind of chunky gold shimmer.

It’s definitely a pretty little palette and for $15 it’s perfect to give the Lime Crime shadows a try, but I won’t be picking up the other Venus XS palettes.
