In November 2018 I got my first Allure Beauty Box. It was filled with face-, body- and eyemasks and I’ve been loving the ones I tried already (especially the Patchology Flashpatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels!). The reason I subscribed for the Allure Beauty Box in the first place was because NikkieTutorials announced that she curated the December box and the products she picked looked amazing, so here’s a look at the box and a mini review!
The box contains five products and a bonus make-up wipe sampler. As you can see in an instant: the brands and products are amazing!
The box comes with a booklet with information about NikkieTutorials and about the featured products and there’s a paper announcing the new look of the Allure Beauty Box (it’s going to be a pouch instead of the box). It also gave a sneak peek at what products are going to be featured in January 2019: the Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow Face Oil and the Sunday Riley A+ Retinold Serum. Say what! Such promising products already! The card also shows that a NCLA nailpolish will be a bonus gift.
Back to the December 2018 box. It contains products of Nikkies favorite brands or favorite products in general.
I was most excited about this little palette by Juvia’s Place. It’s The Nubian Mini palette. Even though I’m personally not the biggest fan of the designs, I really wanted to try Juvia’s Place eyeshadows because NikkieTutorials is always raving about it. Plus, Juvia’s Place is very affordable.
This The Nubian Mini palette retails for only $10. I already swatches two of the shades and oh my gosh, the quality! I will be writing a separate review on this little palette soon.
It’s so awesome that Allure and NikkieTutorials featured the Ofra Cosmetics highlighter in Everglow. It’s the combination of three shades Nikkie created with Ofra.
I am a bit confused by the packaging though, because the old Ofra highlighters were in a black round compact. This white compact and the logo are clearly the new packaging, but the new compacts are supposed to be square…
Anyway, besides that: it is very awesome that this highlighter is featured because A) it retails for $35 and B) Ofra highlighters are THE best out there. See my review on Ofra Pillow Talk here.
These are the swatches of the three shades. The right one is obviously way to deep for me but it’s perfect as a bronze eyeshadow.
Next up in the box are the NYX Lip Lingerie in Cabaret Show and LASplash Art-Ki-Tekt Waterproof Slim Eyeliner. Both gorgeous products that’s good for every one to have in my opinion. Cabaret Show is a great universal nude lip color.
The December box also contains some skincare items. This is the REN Clean Skincare Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm.
The little booklet says:
‘Its light oils, including almond, jojoba, and sunflower, melt into skin without any greasiness or shine-and it clams redness. It’s good for any skin type, even oily or sensitive.’
Sounds promising, right?!
The bonus item in this box is a single makeup remover cleansing towelette by Neutrogena.
I am very happy with all the products in this box. The only one that I’m probably not going to use is the eyeliner but it’s a product of nice quality so I’m sure I can make someone else happy with it!
Which product featured in this box are you curious about?
