Wet n Wild Zodiac Collection

The end of 2018 was all about zodiac collections from several brands like Colourpop, Bite Beauty and Wet n Wild. I’ve always liked everything with stars and constellations, so I’ve been keeping my eyes on the collections to see if there was going to be one I wanted to pick up. It ended up being a few products from the Wet n Wild Zodiac Collection (however, I still have got my eyes on the Colourpop Zodiac eyeshadow palette) because of their low prices and the known amazing quality of their highlighters.

I picked up the Wet n Wild Loose Highlighting Powder in Written in the Stars, Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Bar in Air and Wet n Wild Color Icon Lip Gloss in Gemini.

This loose powder highlighter is amazing! It’s a light shade so great for my fair skin and it’s so finely milled! It’s so light weight that it almost looks like dust. You only need a tiny tiny bit for an amazing glow so that’s wonderful as well.

Looooove this! In the right lighting it’s even more amazing (so for me that means watching out when I’m applying the product because otherwise I will glow everywhere because it’s a loose powder and it flies around during application). Only little downside is that the product has to be blended into my skin well otherwise you can see the ‘stroke’ of powder on my skin. I use a clean brush for that to prevent adding even more highlighter that’s left in the brush.

Wet n Wild launched four MegaGlo Highlighting Bars: Air, Fire, Earth and Water. I liked the shade of this one the most. It’s more rough than the loose highlighter and also more rough than their regular MegaGlo highlighters I love so much. I think it’s because it has more fine glitters in the product. It is a very pretty highlighter though!

I knew beforehand that I wouldn’t wear the gold Gemini lip gloss often but it’s so awesome to have a Gemini (I’m a Gemini) product showcased on my vanity and it didn’t cost much, so I just had to have it :).  I was ordering anyway.

I was very surprised by the extreme pigmentation and coverage though! I really want to try out one of the other shades now and see if the pigmentation is just as great. It is a little bit of a sticky lipgloss though, so that’s a con of this lip gloss.

On the left is the loose highlighter, in the middle is the highlighting bar and on the right is the lip gloss.

You can see the difference between both highlighters very clearly. The loose highlighter looks more like a ‘dust’ highlighter and the bar is more compact. Both give the most gorgeous glow which unfortunately is not visible that well in this picture. But you can see that the whole swatch is radiant.

The Air highlighter is a pinky shade and the loose highlighter is more of a silver shade with a wash of gold.

The swatch of the Gemini gloss shows how amazingly pigmented this gloss is and how great the coverage is!

Did you try anything from the Zodiac collection by Wet n Wild?

  1. Wow, that loose powder highlighter is blinding!! 😎 Love it. I ended up getting a lip gloss and the fire eyeshadow. I loved both and if I see any more of the eyeshadows, I’m going to grab them! If you’re looking at Colourpop, I recommend the loose pigment Zodiac set over the palette! I liked the palette ok but wasn’t blown away by it. The pigments are amazing though!
