I’ve got a new favorite mascara and I’m here to tell you all about it!

I’m talking about the Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara. The only available shade right now is Ultra Black.

I picked up this mascara when I ordered the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4  a couple of months ago. I did not start using the mascara immediately but ever since I did try it out, this is my go to mascara. Gosh, it’s such a great mascara and it has everything I look for in a mascara.

This is the mini size and it’s already going strong for about two months. The brush is non flexible, has medium sized hairs and it picks up just enough product, without coming up with clumps of mascara.

The short wand of this mini size is not the most brilliant thing ever, but it’s workable. I do drop it from time to time though, because it’s not very easy to hold. However, it’s all fine by me because the quality is enough to overrule the dropping the wand.

Because the brush gets smaller at the end, it’s easy to reach every single lash.

It separates my lashes nicely, gives them a lot more length and gives them a nice coat of mascara, but without anything too thick and most importantly: without clumps!

Also very important for me: this mascara dries fast and it. does. not. transfer. or smudge. And that’s why I love this mascara so freaking much. I usually just wear waterproof mascara because I get oily eyelids during the day, making my mascara smudge above the eyes. With this Hourglass mascara (not waterproof) I do not get any smudging at all!

I’ve been wanting to stop using waterproof mascara for a while now because I’ve been reading here and there that waterproof mascara is not fantastic for your lashes, but I just couldn’t find a mascara that stayed put just as nice. Now I just wear waterproof mascara when I’m working out or when it’s pouring outside. For all the other days, I have the Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash mascara!

I just realized that three of my Ride or Die products are now by Hourglass: the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4, the Hourglass Veil Translucent Powder and the Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara.

I would totally recommend this for everyone who loves long, nicely separated lashes and a mascara that does not smudge! What is your favorite mascara?
