Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color & Crushed Liquid Lip

A little while ago Bobbi Brown came out with the Crushed Lip Colors (blotted style lipsticks) and the Crushed Liquid Lip (balm like liquid lipsticks). I heard so many great thing about these lip products that I decided to pick some up to give them a try.

With my order I also got a mini Crushed Liquid Lip and mini Crushed Lip Color (and you know me, I love mini’s!).

The Crushed Liquid Lips are very (very!) pigmented and opaque. The apply very easily and give a gorgeous shine. They are comfortable to wear, they feel like a lip balm on the lips indeed, just a very thick lip balm. It is only the slightest bit sticky on the feel.

The downside with the Crushed Liquid Lips for me is that the product is so thick and non drying that it moves around quite easily. Because of the great pigmentation, it is very visible when the product is not where it’s supposed to be.

I can see why people enjoy this lippies because they are of great quality, but because of how easy it glides around, it is not for me. I am always looking for a lip product that is as low maintenance as it can be, because I don’t want to keep an eye on where my lipstick is.

I am really enjoying the Crushed Lip Colors. They are easy to apply, wear comfortably, are pigmented but not so crazy that you see every millimeter that’s out the lines and it wears off so beautifully. This product really is made for that blotted look. I personally like to apply two layers and then blot the product with a tissue.

What I also like about the lipsticks is that it hardly moves when applied and blotted. The formula is satin, almost matte but does not feel drying at all.

The only downside of these Crushed Lip Colors is that it is very expensive (€28,50 for the Crushed Lip Colors and €26 for the Crushed Liquid Lip). I will say that the Crushed Liquid Lip is a special formula and something new on the market, so that might be worth the money. And even though I really enjoy the Crushed Lip Colors and am wearing Babe and Bare daily, it is a lot of money for a ‘regular’ lipstick.

Keep that in mind! And also, some of the Crushed Lip Color shades are quite similar so make sure you swatch the shades in store first! 🙂

What do you think of the Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colors and Crushed Liquid Lips?
