NARS Mini Wanted Eyeshadow Palette

In my recent Cult Beauty haul (read here) I picked up the NARS Mini Wanted Eyeshadow Palette. The palette turned out to be TINY (but for real) and the shades are not exactly what I expected them to be. Read all about it in today’s blog!

This palette totally deserved the name ‘Mini’, even though ‘tinie tiny’ would have been even better :). This is a very small palette, keep that in mind if you are thinking about buying it. Every pan contains 0,7 grams of product.

For comparison: the pans in the Urban Decay mini palette Aphrodisiac contain 1,40 grams of product.

Though little, the palettes does contain a mirror in which you can kinda do your eye makeup. (Nailpolish in the mirror is Essie Satin Slipper).

The shades in this tiny Wanted palette are totally up my street: bronze, mauve, purple and gold-ish shades. The brown shade in the bottom row is the only true matte shade. The beige one top left has the most subtle shimmer in it. The shimmer is so subtle that the shade can still be used as a neutral crease shade.

The shades in the bottom left corner and the top right corner are both glittery and the other two shades are very creamy shimmers.

The two lightest shade all the way on the left are both okay and creamy, but they don’t have a lot of color and shimmer pay-off though. When on the eyes, the second shade from the left is a little bit flat and dull.

The other four shades though work really nicely. They are creamy, easy to blend and easy to build up and they have a lot of color pay-off. The shimmer and glitters also give enough shimmer and glow to make my eyes sparkle (of which you know, that’s important for me in a shimmery or glittery eyeshadow).

This is the look I came up with! I used the lightest shade as a transition shade in the crease, a tiny bit of the matte brown in the outer corners, the cranberry/purple shimmer in the outer third of my eyes and the lightest shimmer in the inner 2/3 of the eyes.

The other products I used for this look are: Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away concealer, Hourglass Veil Translucent Powder, NARS Climax mascara, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk blush and Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick.

All the shades are very easy to apply and blend. Only side note I’ve got is that the lightest shimmer is not very intense in it’s shimmer but it still goes very well with the other shades in this look.

I can also see myself using single shades from this palette because that’s where these shimmery and glittery shades are perfect for as well.

Overall I like this palette because it’s convenient for traveling and all the shades are easy to use and gorgeous, but this palette is not special, original or made of the best quality ever. If you like to try eyeshadow by NARS then this might be a nice palette to start with, but other than that I would recommend you to skip this NARS Mini Wanted Eyeshadow Palette and spent your money on a Huda Beauty Obsessions Palette or a full sized NARS palette. It’s worth the splurge way more! 🙂

For as far as I know, at this moment you can only grab the palette on Cult Beauty for £26.
