Sephora Favorites Sunkissed Glow set

It’s time for another Sephora Favorites kit! Today I’ve got a review on the Sephora Favorites Sunkissed Glow set which contains some amazing brands and products, all to give you a gorgeous glow this summer (and after that, obviously 🙂 ).

This set contains eight products: two eyeshadows, three highlighters, one bronzer, one lipgloss and one complexion product.

I picked up this set because I was stoked to see a Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in here and the Marc Jacobs Dew Drops in a mini size. I’ve been dying to try out both products so it was the perfect moment to grab this new Sephora Favorites kit.

From left to right:

  • Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Vanilla Quartz;
  • Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow;
  • Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Conceited;
  • Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Shady Biz;
  • Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in 50 Dew You?.

The Becca highlighter took some forces during shipment so it broke. Luckily I already have Vanilla Quartz in full size so I can still enjoy it. The Laura Mercier glow powder is another products I’ve already got (in travel size). I do own two other Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powders, but this shade is completely new for me!

From left to right:

  • Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Champagne Diamonds;
  • tarte Rainforest of the Sea seaglass eyeshadow in suite life;
  • Sephora Collection Ultrashine Lip Gel in 01 Perfect Nude.

I owned the Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Champagne Diamonds once. It’s an eyeshadow stick designed to make your eye color pop when you use a certain combination. Champagne Diamonds is designed for blue eyes. Back then I had zero clues on how to work eyeshadow sticks, but now I am more educated and experienced in using and applying make-up, so I’m excited to give it another go!

The tarte liquid eyeshadow is a product very similar to the Stila Glitter & Glow liquid eyeshadows.

Swatches from left to right: Becca Vanilla Quartz highlighter, Artist Couture Conceited highlighter, Laura Mercier Glow translucent powder, Fenty Beauty bronzer, Marc Jacobs Dew You? Dew Drops, Charlotte Tilbury Champagne Diamonds eyeshadow, tarte suite life liquid eyeshadow and Sephora Collection lipgloss.

I was surprised by how smooth the Fenty Beauty bronzer swatches! Very excited about that. I love how glowy and glittery the Charlotte Tilbury and tarte products are. The Artist Couture highlight is too deep for me for a highlighter, but it will make a gorgeous eyeshadow shade. It reminds me of MAC Melon pigment! The only swatch I’m disappointed by is the Sephora Collection lipgloss. It’s a very boring and basic shade if you’d ask me to include in a fun set like this. Though, it is glowy!

Here I am wearing the brown shade of the NARS Mini Wanted Eyeshadow Palette in the crease. On the inner third of the lid I used the Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon and on the outer third I used the tarte seaglass eyeshadow. So many glitters!

The Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon is very easy to apply but shows up a lot more pale on the eyes than it does when swatched on the arm. I find it’s too pale for my eyes to give my eyes a nice effect. Therefore I only used it in the inner third and in the inner corners of my eyes, because it is perfect for an inner corner highlight. It needs to be sharpened pretty quickly and before you use it, I’d recommend warming it up on your hand first to make the product softer to apply.

The tarte seaglass eyeshadow is very pretty and easy to apply. Powder eyeshadow can be blended on top of it. I did find however that after wearing it for a little, some parts of glitters came out, leaving weird holes in the eyeshadow look. I prefer the Stila Glitter & Glow!

On the lips I am wearing the Sephora Collection Ultrashine Lip Gel. Like I said: it’s a very basic and kind of boring pink shade. However, it is easy to apply and very comfortable to wear. It ‘tastes’ (for as far as you’d like to taste it haha) pleasant and it’s not sticky at all. It does transfer though.

I am wearing the Fenty Beauty Bronzer, Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow and Marc Jacobs Dew Drops.

The Fenty Beauty Bronzer applies very well, is easy to blend and overall is a great product. This shade is pretty subtle. For as far as I can tell, it is a great bronzer! I’m not writing a big review on it though because I have little experience with bronzers.

The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow is a big miss for me. I used it on the cheekbones and above the eyebrows before adding highlighter. The shade is way too glittery and weirdly colored (it’s not as translucent as the non glow translucent powder) to use for setting and it’s by no means glowy enough to use as a highlighter for me personally. No idea what the point of the powder is. I won’t be using it again and I also don’t recommend it.

The Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops however are amazing! Usually I’m not a big fan of liquid or gel highlighters, but this one is so easy to apply and blend and look at that glow! It’s an intense lit from within glow. Love it!

The blush I am wearing for this look is the Colourpop Blush Stix in Flamenco. This blush was quite impossible to blend nicely so it made me look like a clown and I had to tone it down with lot’s of concealer. Elaborate review on it coming soon! I topped it off with a bit of the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk blush which is my current ride or die blush. Always a winner!

Overall I am pretty happy with this set. I got to try out products I wanted to try out for a while. I also got to trial run some products that I now know are not for me. It retails for $45 at Sephora.com.

What would you want to try from this Sephora Favorites Sunkissed Glow set?
