Hi everyone!
Soooo… I’ve been MIA lately. I took a little blogging break because I had a lot of fun stuff planned, like a five day trip to lovely London! A haul coming very soon :).
For today I wanted to show you the Charlotte Tilbury The Easy Smokey Eye Palette. I purchased it during 2019 Nordstrom 2019 Anniversay Sale. It’s a Nordstrom Exclusive palette and it looked so gorgeous, I just had to try it! Also, I was curious to see if this palette has it all to become my new favorite daily palette.
The palette has the usual stylish Charlotte Tilbury packaging going on. The brown packaging with gold/rose gold details. Special about this palette is that Charlotte Tilbury usually only makes quads (like the Pillow Talk Luxury Palette and once a year for Christmas a large palette with 12 shades. This Nordstrom Exclusive palette is kind of like halve a Christmas palette.
It’s the perfect size for traveling and it has the shades for an easy, nude look, a soft pink look and a glam look.
The palette is made with two different looks. A Day Eye and a Date Eye. Honestly though, you can make way more looks with it!
The catch with this palette though is that you really have to dig these kind of shades, otherwise you will not get much use out of this palette. I on the other hand, adore these kind of shades because a soft pink or brown/golden look is what I go for the most.
Look at those swatches! I was pleasantly surprised because the usual Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow is very soft and not that pigmented. I love the Pillow Talk Luxury Palette because of the soft shades, they are very fool proof. These shades however, are so pigmented and creamy and the shimmer is real! I can’t wait to try them out!
This is the look I go for on a work day (if I even feel like putting on some eyeshadow, haha). I just take the Enhance shade from the Day Eye or the Prime shade from the Date Eye and put it all over the eye lid. Then I blend out the edges with the tiniest bit of either Smoke from the Day Eye or Enhance from the Date Eye.
When I want a glam eyelook I first apply some Smoke from the Day Eye and apply it in the crease. I add some Enhance from the Day Eye on the eye lid, put some Smoke from the Date Eye in the outer corner and I finish it off with some Prime from the Day Eye in the inner corner.
The eyeshadows are easy to apply, I love how the shimmery shades stay shimmery throughout the day. The only thing I could think of for a con is that some of the shades are very similar and the difference can be hard to see when applied on the eyes.
Other then that: I think this Charlotte Tilbury The Easy Smokey Eye Palette is a winner!
Unfortunately it’s not available anymore, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it in next year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale again or maybe around Christmas time?
Did you get anything from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
