A while back you could read all about the Marc Jacobs Worth the Wait O!Mega Glaze All-Over Foil Luminizer on Weeks of Beauty.

Because the Marc Jacobs Luminizers were on my wishlist a few months back, I picked up both the Worth the Wait and the Showstopper (LE) shade, when I finally found a website that shipped them to the Netherlands. Here’s a look at Showstopper!
Showstopper was a Limited Edition shade in the Lust and Stardust collection at the end of 2019. You might still find it at Sephora or MarcJacobs.com in sale!

I love this packaging! It’s the same huge (huge!) and sleek packaging as the Worth the Wait luminizer, but Showstopper has all over multi color glitters on the packaging which make the packaging gorgeous. I couldn’t catch it on the photo, so you’ll just have to believe me on that 🙂 (or Google pictures that do show it).

It’s quite hard to describe the shade, so I’m gonna go and quote Temptalia.com for that: Showstopper is a ‘moderately warm-toned, light peach with a sparkle finish’.

The luminizer is pigmented well, extremely smooth, a bit crumbly when you go over it with your finger or brush (so don’t press to hard) and mostly very pretty and shiny.

You can see the peachy shade well when swatches on my skin tone. I was a bit afraid that it would be too dark for my face.

Luckily, the shade did work on my fair skin tone, but I do have to have a tan going to make it work and I have to go lightly with the application. The shade is so special and gorgeous though!

Above are some of the dupes mentioned at Temptalia.com.

This luminizer is easy to build up, in intensity of the shade and the glow. The glow mostly comes from tiny multi colored glitters, where as the Worth the Wait luminizer shade was more a ‘no glitter glow’.

Even though this is a great highlighter and a very pretty shade, it is very expensive and not that special to be priced that steep.

It retails for $49, for which you do get a great amount of product. For my price/quantity comparison, check out the blog about Worth the Wait. But, as you can see from the dupes mentioned at Temptalia, there are dupes for just a fraction of the price.

Would you pick up this shade if it were to make a come back?
